Therapy Patient Questions

Am I able to fill out my paperwork before I come in for my first visit?
-
Yes. We have the ability to send your new patient paperwork through DocuSign. It will be sent to your email for you to simply fill out from any computer or smart device.
-
How long can I expect my therapy visit to last?
-
For your Initial Evaluation (1st visit) you can plan to be at the clinic for about an hour to an hour and a half, including the time it takes to fill our your paperwork. Each session after that can range from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your tolerance and progressions.
-
What do I wear to my therapy visits?
-
We ask that you wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing. Dresses & skirts are not recommended, you may be asked to perform movements that require bending and/or squatting.
-
Will I meet with the same therapist each visit?
-
Typically, yes. Please know all of our therapists work together with a team approach to care & at times you may see another therapist if that best fits your scheduling needs.

-
We regularly update your physician via fax and/or phone.

-
If you completed imaging recently, feel free to have your imaging facility or doctor's office fax it directly to us. You can also bring a copy with you to your visit or we can request the copy for you.
-
How long should I continue my Home Exercise Program (HEP)?
-
HEPs are intended to sustain your progress made in therapy at home. Performing it often can help you maintain your strength and prevent you from returning to therapy. We like the saying, "If you brush your teeth for life to keep them healthy, you should do your exercises for life to keep your muscles and joints healthy as well." Although, if an injury occurs, please reach out to your therapist or doctor.
-
I am scheduled for aquatic therapy. What do I need to bring?
-
For your aquatic therapy visits, you & your therapist will be in a swimming pool. Arrive at your visit dressed in pool attire with a set of dry clothes and your own towel. Our facility does have showers but we do not supply any towels or toiletries.
