Avery is a graduate of The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, FL in 2012, Avery became a member of the MTS team in 2012. In 2013, Avery received his Manual Therapy Certification (Spine and Extremities), as well as a Certification in Applied Functional Science through the Gray Institute.
